?

i want to tell you
i'm lost without you
it's something you do
this feeling i get drives me crazy
but it feels so good
it seems love will never present itself to me
in a pretty little package
i'm just stuck watching from a distance
as everyone falls
they don't have to worry
someone will catch them
but i'll fall hard
and you won't bother to help me
to save me from this emptiness
you love her it's plain to see
and as i sit here you're all i think of
no matter how hard i try
you won't leave my mind
and i love you
that's not even an exaggeration
and i know it's sad
trust me it's hard
you're all i can think of
and it destroys me inside
it's too late though
you're too perfect for me
and i know this feeling
this horrid feeling
incomplete
that's what i am without you
this heartbreak hurts
and it bleeds out into words
flowing onto the page
honestly
i love you

Book Review:Uglies

Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld, is about a girl named Tally Youngblood who lives in futuristic times where if you look normal, you're considered "ugly"and when you turn 16 you get an operation that makes you look "pretty". About 2 months before her 16th birthday she meets a girl, Shay, who has the same birthday as Tally but that is one of the only things they have in common. While Tally can't wait for her surgery so she can be with her best friend Peris (who is a guy that she has a little bit of crush on), Shay, would rather stay "ugly" and they live like us without all the futuristic technology. Nearing their birthday Shay runs away to the Smoke and Tally is left with a riddle from Shay on how to get to the smoke. Finally Tally's birthday arrives and as she thinks she's about to get the operation, she get taken to a secret building where the "specials" (basically some kind of top secret government for everyone) work where she is told she has to find Shay and expose the Smoke so they can shut it down. When Tally finally reaches the Smoke after a long trip she falls in love with it and a boy named David which makes her not want to go back. One night she decides she wants to stay at the Smoke and throws the device the "Specials" gave her so that if she sets it off they can find where she is and shut down the Smoke into a fire pit thinking that it will destroy it when it actually sets it off which sends her into a frenzy to save her friends from becoming "pretties".
The main themes of this book are friendship and don't judge a book by its cover. Friendship because Tally and Shay go through a lot but still come out as strong friends. First, Tally in a way "steals" David from Shay though David never really had romantic feelings toward Shay. Also, Tally accidentally sets off the device that brings the bad guys to the Smoke but Shay forgives her. The other theme would be don't judge a book by it's cove because something that can seem so perfect , like the surgery, can have dark secrets. Also, the Smoke is a good example because Tally judges the people as crazy idiots but when she gets to know them she realizes they actually have a better idea of what's going on than anyone else.
I would recommend this book to fast readers. That being said slow readers might also enjoy this storyline but if you're a slow reader I think you might get a little bored with it because of how long the book is and also the fact that there are some really boring spots in the book. Also, the fact that the book ends in basically the middle of the story making you either ask a friend who has read the book what happens next or actually read the book (which is just about as long) kind of leavers with this wtf?!? feeling because as you get closer to the end you're like "Thank God I'm almost done finally all my questions will be answered!" and then there's a twist and then there's no more pages and it sucks. So basically read the book if you want to read a really long book that honestly isn't that worth it.

Favorite Songs:Beautiful Lyrics

So I'm gonna start listing my favorite songs in different categories starting with Beautiful Lyrics. These songs all have beautiful inspirational lyrics and don't have that heavy guitar and drum sound hovering over it. So here they are:

Curl Up and Die by Relient K-

I don’t like the steps I took
To get to look
Into your deepest feelings

I don’t like the place I’m in
Headspace within the hardwood and the ceiling

Cause if I’m restless
Then why do I
I want nothing but to rest my soul

And I don’t get this and I know why
You see sometimes things are just beyond control

But I don’t mind
But I’m not surprised to find that you do
I’m not surprised to find that you do
I know you do

And I feel fine
But I know the same does not apply to you
I know the same does not apply to you
So I guess that I’ll curl up and die, too.

Clinging to the remnants of perfection
Like most do after they break it
Not knowing which directions the correct one
Do I discard or remake it

Cause if I don’t know then I don’t know
But I may know someone that knows me more than I
And if I somehow could rest this soul
Maybe control could find its way back to my life

But I don’t mind
You see I know that I have done all this to you
To you

Yeah I’ll curl up with you
Until I die with you [3x]
Yeah I’ll curl up with you yeah my baby, yeah my darlin’
Until I die with you…

You should really look this song up. So the next song goes to...

Forever Ended Today by Remember Maine

Hey, it's me. it's good to hear your voice.
but it's been too long, it's been too long.
Since I've held you in my arms.
But the night is young and so is my heart when we walk together.

Hey, it's me. It's good to taste your lips.
but it's been too long, been too long.
But i still remember our night together.
when you held me tight, like the night we said "goodbye".
where we walked together.
Well this is my one last chance to say
Goodbye to you. in the story light. ya.
so i'll take every second they give before we expire. ya.
whoa-oa.
we thought we'd last forever but all that faded away.
forever and forever ended today.

All my tomorrows and yesterdays.
were burried in this mess i've made.
for you you're my catalist.
you've started the fire in my heart.
now we're crossed the fog lines
and its too late to stay.
and i'm the only one left on this star.
left on this star.
and i'm the only one locked on this star.
locked on this star.
and i'm the only one.
ya i'm the only one.

And i'm home...and i'm home and i'm home and i'm ho-o-ome.
yes i'm home yes i'm ho-o-o-ome

The next song is...
After the Last Midtown Show by The Academy Is...
It's a drunken midnight on the streets
Brightly dusted with a neon light
We duck behind the corner store
Smoke your smokes
While I keep a watchful eye
Right here, right now

I hope before the night is through
One fumbled touch will finally hit the spot
You've got everything going for you
So I'll go for you with everything I got
Right here, the best days of our lives
Is this coincidence, or a sign?

Is there anything I missed?
Is there anything I missed?
Tell me if I'm wrong
But why would we change a thing?

When the morning light fights through the cracks
Cascading across the bed and you are mine
When your parents start to wake for work
Between the sheets, keep a watchful eye
Right here, the best days of our lives
Is this coincidence, or a sign?

Is there anything I missed?
Is there anything I missed?
Tell me if I'm wrong
But why would we change it?

When we met I was on my back
I swear we spent most afternoons
Somewhere in the act
We were part of something ours
And ours alone
Anywhere was home
We're almost here again

When we met I was on my back
I swear we spent most afternoons
Somewhere in the act
We were part of something ours
And ours alone
Anywhere was home
We're almost here again
We're almost here again
We're almost here again
Right here, right now

And last but not least...
Feet First by The Swellers
(p.s. the acoustic version is best!)
Watching the waves crashing beneath me.
Blue and silver, chaotic and serene.
And I can’t describe the view from up here,
because maybe I won’t be able to tell you what I see.
Don’t waste your tears on me.

Don’t stop, now.
Just carry on, carry on, carry on.

You always said that things were gonna get better,
but maybe the fog holds answers I can’t reach.
And I can’t decide if I’ll ever shake this,
because maybe I… wait, nevermind.
Don’t tell me how to live.
It’s just water under the bridge.

Don’t stop, now.
Just carry on, carry on, carry on.
And you’ll never know how bad it feels right now.

Twenty-one years now in the making.
Mom and Dad, you didn’t waste your time,
because even the greatest architect’s
masterpiece can be torn to the ground.
But I’m still around.
And you would build a ship
or pack my parachute in time
for the fall.
Yeah, this is love by all means.
And I’ll continue building with you.

Don’t stop, now.
Just carry on, carry on, carry on.
And you’ll know how bad it feels right now,
but at least you know that it won’t end.

And that's it. There are so many more but I figured nobody actually reads this so...

YOU'RE FIRED!!!!

Dear Human Body Corporation:

A little birdy told me you planned to fire me, the nervous system! To that I say, "Fine, you can suffer pain, immobility, and SO much more for the rest of your life. Because hey all I do is help you move around. And how would you like to never be able to feel a puppies warm fur again? Oh, and without me you'll never be able to taste a gooey chocolate brownie ever again! So seriously, don't fire me, the nervous system.

If you were to fire me you'd be immobile for the rest of your selfish life. Your spinal cord would be *poof* gone and would obviously not be able to send nerve messages. Without those messages there would be nothing telling your body to move. Unless you were to land on "The Island" (Lost), you'd never ever move again. In short, if you were to fire me you'd be immobile.

Would you fire the nervous system if you knew your skin would never feel again? Seriously, you'd never know if it was hot or cold which could lead to frost bite of hypothermia or serious burns to the skin. And, come on everyone knows you look like an idiot when you trip which is what you'd be doing ALL the time. I know pain sucks, but a little pain is better than no pain which could lead to serious problems. Do NOT fire the nervous system if you ever want to feel again.

Lastly, wouldn't you hate never smelling or tasting again? If there were a fire in your house you'd be burnt like toast before you were to smell the smoke. Also, you couldn't taste poisonous or roughten foods that could potentially be fatal. And, how would you like never smelling and tasting those fresh out of the oven cookies again? All that, and more, will happen if you choose to fire me.

PLEASE DO NOT FIRE ME! Without me, you'd never move again. Feeling any touch on your skin would be impossible. Lastly, never tasting or smelling food again would really suck. So either fire me and suffer, or don't fire me and live life to the fullest. It's all your choice.

Snow

Snow isn't pure,
It's simply a color,
A shade really,
White.

Vampire Kisses; Book Review

Vampire Kisses, by Ellen Schrieber, is about a girl named Raven who lives a very uneventful life. Then one day, on her 16th birthday a family rumored to be vampires moves into town. Raven loves this because she has never quite fit in (she's goth and proud of it.) She meets the son, Alexander, and soon falls in love. But as soon as they're excepted by the town(and she learns he is a vampire), Alexander unexpectedly leaves without a reason. Raven sets out to find him but as she looks she finds the reason Alexander left, another vampire named Jagger. Alexander returns to protect Raven and keep her safe, and just when they thought Jagger was gone he comes back, with his twin sister Luna who was originally supposed to become eternally bound to Alexander because she was not born a vampire and it was the only way she could become one. Alexander backed out because he barely knew Luna and didn't find it fair, but that didn't stop Luna from finding another way to become a vampire. In the end Jagger tries to steal Raven from Alexander but fails and flees with his sister back to Romania.

One of the main themes in this book is "finding a place in the world" an example of how this theme is shown is in the beginning and also throughout the book Raven only has one friend Becky. Raven is nothing like anyone even Becky but when Alexander and his parents move to town Raven has someone to relate to. Another theme would be "forbidden love". This is shown with the fact that vampires and humans should not fall in love. Those are the two examples of two themes in this book.

Honestly, I would not recommend this book to anyone my age because there really is not originality to it. Like with the Twilight Saga or the House of Night Series, both vampire series', the original vampire myths are twisted (in the Twilight Series vampires sparkle in the sun and in the House of Night Series it just irritates them) but int this book nothing is different (garlic makes them sick, they sleep in coffins, etc.) Also Ravens goth personality is very off. Out of all the goth people I know, no one is obsessed with vampires. Ellen Schrieber obviously didn't have a good grasp on "goth" when shewrote this book In conclusion, this is a very unoriginal book about a vampire falling in love with a human and I don't recommend it to anyone.
